The graphics just look so amazing! And with any luck, all the numbers and so on are just animation and so on tags, and will be hidden from the final preview and the actual release.
It'll be worth saving up to buy a computer that'll actually run this game!
Love the look of the game. I'm gonna keep my pre-order in but I do have one small problem with the article.
On page 4, looking at the combat, You were talking about the fact that attacking a non-combatent cost life. Your next sentance, after the image, does not make sence.
"I asked Alex why Altair this way and, to be fair, his answer made sense and belies a deliberate and consistent design;"
Am I just being very thick or is that a slight typo?
Im my opinion all this secrecy around the Sci-Fi elements is going to let a lot of people down. I know I was far more interested before any of that sort of stuff showed up.
In fact the way they are selling the game seems a little underhanded to me, they are selling it on all the crusade era stuff but thats not what the game is going to be. It just doesn't sit right. I'm gonna have to play a demo.

You're going to be waiting a very long time dude. There won't be a demo for Assassin's Creed.
That said, I still have my copy on preorder and I can't wait to pick it up. The futuristic part will probably help tie the other two games into it as well. Who knows, maybe Altair is the same assassin from one of the sequels that is set in the future.
STILL looks like a highly playable game IF you can get over the scifi aspect. Which in all doesn't seem like a huge thing to me. I mean it's like Thief on steroids.

It really, really isn't. It's more like Prince of Persia on downers. This is nothing at all like Thief IMO and has entirely different mechanics.
oo, it`s obviously had a lot of time spent on it. PoP was crap I definately think the open envoironments have a far superior look to them. I for one am looking forward to it.
