i like both supcom and C&C and i will be getting C&C when it comes out... never did finish the original TS game... anyways.. i have never really played the multiplayer of RTS type games as i always find that the other ruin the game some how when i did play it..
1 day ago I downloaded the demo and I feelled that I must hit the stores and get one ! but Still no arrive to UAE stores !! soon I think it will be here :D
I will get it , this game the best game , action , smart , every thing amazing btter than genrals
I can't really say I'm all that impressed with Supreme Commander at the minute. :( Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that it makes my computer lock up and reboot without fail every time I try to play a mission. Any sort of mission. It even does it with safe mode. :(

Estonia. Right at the top of Europe. The second mission was in Latvia. :)

Come to think of it... I'm pretty sure I've got 4 or 5 copies of the same C&C game after losing the original install disk (don't ask... Lol).
Oh, and on the comment of C&C3... Looking forward to it, though I'm somewhat hooked on Supreme Commander at the moment :)
I found instructions on EA's website on how to get to the Funpark missions from Covert Operations (the Dinosaur ones) in The First Decade but I can't get it to work. :(
And C&C won't find the disc if I start it direct from the c&c95.exe - I need to run it via the TFD launcher. :|
This pre-review is a prime example of whats truly wrong with todays reviewer communities. This pre-review does little justice to the true concept of being open minded and truly exploring a game to its full depth to find out how good it really is. The reviewer is biased from the start and is a shining example of what poor reviewer skills are all about.
Well for hosting a small scale LAN party, with not so powerful computer (P4HT, 1 GB of RAM, Intel integrated graphics 850)
C&C3 is perfectly playable... (in low settings of course).
But for SupCom, there is no way it will run... requires too much power.
Therefore, C&C3 has been selected for one of many games that will be played on the small LAN party I'm having.
I totally agree with Phaelon, in the review, bit-tech basically says it's the same thing as C&C the original... well I gave it a try... and NO WAY... C&C1 has truly nothing, no grouping of units, not able to send backup units, can't even use a building, and unable to (in C&C1) to do multiple builds (just faster) (just to name a few obvious things). Seriously, bit-tech only watch the game for 2 min on a computer, and tried to pull off a review, also mixed new features from other games as WCIII and considered it as it was in C&C1 the original (that's the felling I had when reading the """"""""""""""""""""review"""""""""""""""""""". DOWNLOAD THE DEMO AND PLAY!
I agree with the poor reviewing, already with supcom this happened. Maybe get a new game reviewer? Or get several reviewers from the community here at Bit-Tech instead and have them collaborate on a review that way not only will it be more in-depth but it'll be un-biased.
I find the lack of walls in C&C3 to be annoying :(
I just spent 3 hours playing C&C:Tiberian Sun with my friend last night. Had a blast :D
According to the Blizzard Chief Operation Officer Paul Sams, there will be a "major project announcement in 2007." No clue on when or what title, but Sams did provide IGN with another tasty quote,
"StarCraft is my absolutely favorite game of all time. As you probably already know, there is no doubt that we will continue the StarCraft and Diablo franchise, and trust me, I will be the happiest person in the world when we announce StarCraft 2."
Blizzard currently has three other titles in the works, excluding the aforementioned "major project" set for a 2007 unveiling. Of those four, we expect one to be another expansion for World of Warcraft. Is Blizzard working on sequels to StarCraft and Diablo 2? Of course they are, they'd be a fool not to continue those franchises.
Regardless of what title is announced, it will likely take years before we see anything tangible. Blizzard is notoriously secretive, but have a very envious track record with their projects.
Blizzard is quite the secretive game company, and has been so for a while. Bungie does some of the same stuff, but they realease little tidbits here and there, nothing doing on blizzard's side.
I have to say that Blizzard is probobly my favorite game company. I have played eveyone one of their series untill my eyes bleed and my fingers rot and im back at it a year later. As for the quote, he pretty much SPELLS it out. On the other hand, it might just be diablo 3, but thats doubtful. Starcraft is where its @!
P.S. Hey i resent the snaps about Halo! Its a good game with good(decent) graphics, and its success is undeniable (see world records, current online user statistics, crazy fanboys, ect ect.) Of all the lan parties ive been to, halo is the one that has been on the screens of the most people the most. I am a console/pc gamer, but i for one cannot wait for halo vista and 3. Halo wars, im not so sure about. The only decent rts ive seen on console is the LOTR game, and that was lacking to say the least. Id prefer that on PC... :'(
P.P.S. Big time brownie points to whomever made the distinction between real-time battles and real-time war. very subtle, yet rather true.

So the next C&C could be a follow up to the Red Alert Universe in the form of Red Alert 3 which was unofficially announced back in 2004, or Renegade 2 which was a rumour i heard.
Why not?
SupCom is alright, but i read someone felt lost because they couldnt zoom in enough on C&C 3 unlike supcom. I prefer C&C 3 to supcom, supcom needs a monster of a PC to play, unlike C&C 3, which is what C&C is about, its all jolly well setting a unit cap on a Skirmish to 750 units to each team, but a PC just would not cope with that amount. To me, the demo as with all demo's is there to show off some cool things, the water texture in game is better than supcoms, its even better than the water in BFME2 (Same game engine) The heat textures are better than supcoms, but at the end of the day, supcom has been released and people are able to say whats good and wrong with it, this is a demo, its getting people hyped for the game, and as we all know, the full game will be much much better then the demo predicts.
Sam
Funny you should say that...lol, when I had my first PC(33MHz), it fell a little shy of the 66MHz requirement for the original C&C. As a result it ran damn slow, but I still played through the whole game lol.
To me the demo of C&C3 seemed like they jsut copied the old gameplay and made it look a lot better. Sure there's cool units and special abilities now, but those felt kinda tacked on to me. I had fun with it, but I'va always liked TA and therefore SC better than the C&C series.
I was a huge fan of the original C&C and also played my way through Red Alert. Those games stole many hours of my life and I don't regret that at all. More recently, remembering the fun I had with the originals, I bought Generals, which I also enjoyed thoroughly.
I didn't think a whole lot of it until I got my hands on a laptop running Windows 95 and installed my copy of the original C&C. I couldn't play it. The game hadn't changed and it wasn't the graphics putting me off (I can't think of a game I like better than Lemmings, and if I can put up with those graphics C&C should be easy); it was the interface. The unit-specific actions and the ability to build anywhere, plus having specific actions assigned to specific buildings, for some reason made more sense to me than the old-school side pane. I'm sure little things like holding right click to pan the camera also had an impact, of course.
I'll definitely take a look at the game and I've got a friend who plans to buy it, so have a play myself. We'll see; maybe I can be converted back to the old ways and maybe I'll just have to keep playing Generals. I suppose that's no hardship.

eg, miners go back to the same base station, not the closest one
Also you cant get units to guard other units, which kind of sucks
Also the defences seem piss poor so i think the game needs some tweaking still
