Has anyone ever liked a quick time event............ ever??? Why do they do this? Why?? I hate them. It's now difficult to find a game without them. Can't something be done! Think of the children!
Maybe bit-tech can fix this... Can you guys give a developer a nice, short, sharp slap when ever they a present a game to you with one of these? Or when you get a phone call inviting you to come see something; can you ask them "does it have quick time events?".. and when the reply is invariably "yes", can you just yell an expletive, insult the person's mother and hang up?
The demo is ok, but it's only about 5 minutes long, which is annoying considering it's a 700Mb download. (and takes almost 5 minutes to install, especially if you have to clear out your c: drive before you have enough space.)

We need action people!
Quicktime in Fahrenheit was OK. God of War as well.
In those games it was actually more part of the game mechanic. That's fine, it's where the game is interrupted by a cut-scene, they make you push arbitrary buttons and you have to repeat the video over and over to learn the sequence. Which is utterly stupid.
In the force unleashed demo you have to take out the walker thing at the end, I was ripping it a new one using some nice sith combos. But oh.. what's this. It's suddenly invincible until I do this other new, one-off, combo which magically makes the light-sabre work properly and cut the thing in half. :(

Ran fine on my Laptops 8800mGTX with no noticable stutter at 1920*1200 2xAA. Maybe a driver issue?

Ran fine on my 8800GTX OC at 2560*1600, 4x AA, and everything else on high, but the cut sceen before the game started was stuttery.

I agree wholeheartedly sir, the second I hit a quick-time event in The Force Unleashed's demo was the second I stopped playing and decided I didn't want to buy the game.
On the face of it this looks like a branded re-make of CoD4 with different guns and an odd single player. Which on the face of it isn't bad as such, but if that is all you wanted then what was wrong with CoD4? sorry if I seem a little underwhelmed...
When I get myself a decent rig again, then maybe I'll buy it.
Sidenote: Sean Connery is the best Bond there is. His voice is still thrilling to listen to.
This will probably get added as a sig but what the hell: If I had been a woman I'd marry Sean Connery. The man is sex.
I have now played the demo, and it is ridiculously short for such a huge download. However, the gameplay is fine, ir rather linear and badly explained. There is an awesome machine pistol which is rubbish but great fun (did that make sense?).
I had no lag at 1400*1050 with max settings but the cut scene at the end was unwatchable with slowdowns every couple of seconds..
Did anyone else watch the into-videos (the ones while it is loading)? One of them was hugely out of place.

QTE in Shenmue worked pretty well too...
In your opinion then...worth the buy?
This is obviously not going to get near GoldenEye, but if it betters EA's efforts then that's ok.

Too early to tell at the moment. Wait for the review ;)
