Good review Joe! Although I spotted a mistake:

"there are only three types of order to give them; deploy, retreat, stop or change formation."

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!! :)

Seems very simmilar to the last game (glory of the roman empire), even the graphics. I played the first one and the micromanagement was very simplified, guessing its the same with Imperium?

Is it just me, or do no new RTS games live up to the bar set by Starcraft and Age of Empires II?
