I've heard that the controller can be a bit temperamental which sucks, apparently opening it up and cleaning the contacts on the fret buttons helps. Don't know of a fix for the tilt though.
You don't get the encores on easy mode if I remember right from GH 1 and 2, only on medium and above.

I was playing this on Friday and I did get encores in Easy (don't know if you were disputing that).
I am a bit unhappy with the controller, the red button would stop working unless I actively pushed the neck into the body regularly and tilt is still too hard to activate in my opinion.
oh no, please dont say this about the wireless controler. My order from play just shipped this morning with the wireless guitar. I still have 5 weeks before im allowed to play it as its a prezzy from the wife. But now im going to be sat in doubt that it aint going to work well :(
I have played the demo to bits and I can now get 100% on all the songs and slowly working on Hard now. Im worried that Im going to be too used to the control pad by christmas that ill find the guitar hard to use.
Never played this type of game before and im loving it. Just wished Id picked up GT1 and 2 when they came out.

Anywho, good article all round, debating whether to get a 360, and if I do, I'd be more than likely to add this to the games.

Perhaps the problems are to do with the break-away neck section?
The wireless PS2 model has worked great for me since I bought it, tis a shame they didn't release it with a USB dongle instead of a wireless PS2 joypad dongle so I could have used it on either PS2 or 360.
All the same, I think I'll stick with the wired 360 (which is plugged into a USB hub bolted down to my desk so I've no fear of pulling the 360 off the desk while trying to activate the star power)
The trick with the guitar (on the gh2 version at least, haven't got 3 yet) is to tilt the guitar slowly upwards. I'm guessing the tilt sensor inside is cheap, so spazzing your arm around will only make it shake around.
I can struggle through Monkey Island theme tune on a banjo, but that’s it. Even that much is owed only to my hillbilly origins in the depths of rural Derbyshire.
Lies! There is no wrong way to play a banjo. Just flail wildly and you'll knock out a toe tapping tune any redneck would approve of. Positively worthy of a hootananny.
Only played GH a little, and it's nothing like playing real guitar tbh.
should put a proper fast dragon force song on it, like disciples of babylon off valley of the damned, much less keyboard much more riffage, and a couple of awesome time changes and we all know that a healthy diet of (bowel shaking) riffage, keeps u regular....

It's similar in some ways, but far far different in others. To those who don't play guitar, the similarities are more glaringly obvious, because the very basic elements of playing the two become so fundamental to even a crap guitar player tbh.
Not as difficult as a real guitar, but definately good fun. A lot of people criticise it for being a bit ridiculous, but it allows novice guitar players to play songs they could never learn if they have limited talent.
This game is the mutts nuts, been playing it all day, sped through the medium career and my fingers are ready to fall off. Haven't noticed any problems with the guitar apart from the fact you can't use the rechargeable packs and are forced to use AAs :(

Can I have that signed Joe? You guys have no idea how long I've lived with Joe informing me he "taught me everything I knew" about the Guitar, swearing he was God's gift to music. Even if he can't actually play Smoke on the Water (he adds an extra note towards the end of the riff).

I was thinking more along the lines of Jenson Button.

I think I read somewhere in the review the single player didn't have encores, although that might have been my imagination

if you plan to try that you are certifiable; that is all.

No, you can't - now go back and keep practicing.
Nobody listen to him, he's a guitar n00b. In fact, I taught him everything he knows.
