Thereâs bound to be a fairly large number of Call of Duty fans who are going to be disappointed by Modern Warfare because itâs moved away from the original setting and shifted to the present delay.
I loved this game. Some levels I played, only to think later on that it was a movie I was remembering back to... and then realising, no... it was a game. Definitely one of the more memorable gaming experiences I've had recently on the PC. :D
Hey Mankz - let me know if your X800 can run the game, even if its at low settings, I've been asked by a friend at work if it can run it and I don't have a copy of the game myself yet to try it. I looked at the specs on the case but it didn't help - I'm fairly sure the X800 was released just before Pixel Shader 3.0 became the norm so I presume that it will be PS 2.0.
looks to be a better game then i expected. i didn't like cod3. The single player was stupid and easy and the multiplayer was totaly frustrating. Is it just going to be the same in a modern time or has it changed?
This is one of the most annoying games I've ever played. The difficulty jumps about like a frog on steroids. One minute I'm happily gunning down the tangos, the next I can't seem to stay alive. I must have just spent the last hour doing the same 5 minutes over and over again.
The AI is bloody stupid and the game is broken. If a grenade goes off near your teammates they don't die, but if you are anywhere near it you'll be having to reload the game. My teammates are constantly blocking me. If I position myself next to a teammate I get killed in seconds because they aren't in cover. The tangos just seem to ignore them and shoot at me.
Gues that answers my question then. cod3 in the future with nicer graphics. Same thing. All of the cods were the same really, i dont udnerstand why people rave over them so much.
I never had any trouble like that. Team mates moved out of my way and the difficulty did spoke occasionally, but nothing extreme. Just the helicopter that kept pissing me off really and as long as you play tactically it's pretty good.
I've been playing the DS version too. Not worth the cash really, but a fun enough endeavour.

Rubbish game.
So bloody true peace of crap and going back on Tuesday, no matter what I do on a par the enemy jsut ****ing pops up in fron tof me with a shot gun because of teh gay spawn, and the fact on veteran it's a peace of piss at one point and then all of a sudden they don't die and you constantly have to retry it.
Also the fact the check points are so inconsistent, unless you go the route thye want you don't get any checkpoint's so you could go really far, get no check oints and die whereas some stupid pratt goes a little bit the way they want and gets a checkpoint.
Nice looking game, i'm away back to Halo and getting assasins creed instead.
I'm on the bit where you are a sniper and you're waiting for big bird to get to the landing zone whilst you are trying to fight off an unlimited supply of enemies (mission 11). No matter what you do they keep coming. If you reload, you're toast. If you get flash banged, you're toast. Even when the chopper lands you've still got to pick up your leader and carry him on whilst under fire!!! ARGH.
Aie that was gay, hide behind the bumper cars part and find a gun like a machine gun, then just run like a spastic and they seem not to soot you as much but more the heli guys. Im past that now near the end.

I had a few choice words about that mission as well. Took me a while but i finally found a spot where the enemy couldn't really shoot at me and i could pop out from cover and kill off the guys who had gotten close enough to be a threat. although having to carry buddy was still a pain in the ass.
Hmm. I kind of have a problem with people who complain about a game but still finish it, only to take it back and get their cash back. It's no better than piracy really...

If you are standing by the other guy, who you are with, and looking towards the other side of the level, where all the guys keep spawning from, on your left are a row of concrete barriers. I went behind that, eventually a chopper drops guys by the cars at the other end of the concrete barriers. Just snipe them, don’t go around the cars though, radiation will kill you.(and I think that I saw some of the bad guys getting killed by it but it may of been friendly fire/grenades/me going trigger happy) I found that every now and then a guy would show up down there after i had killed them all. so keep an eye out. After that I just kept running from one end to the other to avoid getting killed by a grenade. stay crouched if you have to and pop up for a second to kill whoever you can see first.

Of everything else i tried in that level, it was the only thing I could do to win it. anywhere else and it seamed like someone would get behind me and kill me when i wasn't looking. So hopefully this will work for you as the reast of the game is really good.

I did try behind the concrete barrier on the left but I kept getting buggered from behind by a dog or a soldier.
Big fan of the call of duty series. I've just started play 4 and so far it's been very enjoyable. One thing I don't like is that enemies seem to appear in the same position after you respawn.
The game didn't run at all on my x800pro at 1280x1024 but seems to be running well on a 1800XL 1680x1050.

I had no issues with that mission, just stayed prone on the right hand side of the map with LOV of the spawn point(s) and sniped em all. Remember to set the claymores in strategic points before the fun starts, do lines of defense. I had no issues until close to the end when they got the ferris wheel. Then I just moved over to where my buddy was and sniped to his right. Et Voila, mission ended.

The graphics are immense
The gameplay is fulid and fun
The AI are smart
and its very realistic..
My X800 was fine with no AA/AF @1280x1024 and never spluttered..
