Either the screenshots don't do it justice (which has been hinted at) or I'm going blind, cos it doesn't look that great to me :-/

Two major visual differences in the game are realistic draw (they fade with distance from the object) and redone smoke/particle effects and their behaviors.

For 88xxs buyers that dont have the money to buy Windows Vista with DirectX10

This Patch will allow you to Play in Windows XP pro only.

in DX10.
