The badges Kustom stock are the old ones.

We want the new ones.

Though I'd prefer a flat one, not the bubble type.

Anychance you can get the guys at Intel to *sneak* out a E6600 or the Conroe extreme :D for me? :D
Say when the BF2 Server is running, i play that, so playing that while others are playing CS:S and quake 4 and something else, that would rock, keep it up.

Shame I didn't see this thread yesterday but I had to go out in the evening anyway.

I'm well up for a lunchtime rammy though if any of you guys are??? :D

Just gotta get my new laptop set up and ready to go.
Then download Gigs of steam files on a crappy 2MB connection. :(

its strange having a PC with no gui, or moniter/keyboard/mouse connected to it
Infact that PC needs just 2 cables, Power and Ethernet
Ive learnt so much having to do all my work via SSH

Preaching to the converted :) I'm the only guy in the office running Linux full time! I use straight SSH for most things, but sometimes It is nice to have a GUI for things, so I run VNC on a restricted user and then tunnel it over SSH.

Anyway, lot's of comments in the thread and it's always great to see interest in what we're doing.

However, just to reiterate what Tim/Wil/Geoff/RTT have said. PLEASE be patient, we do know what we're doing, we just need time.

Besides, what's going on in the background is kind of irrellevent. If you can log on to the server and get a decent ping - that's what matters. Right?

Wow, linux must really be quite laborsome if you've only managed two posts in nearly 3 years, Spode :P

that is very true, this is the only 100 tick public server Ive played on that doesn't lagg like a bitch

After playing on it for a while i know 1 thing, I'm rather out of practise on CSS ;)

Helping or hurting??

I registered a while ago for some unknown reason, but never bothered posting. I have my own forums to look after!

Get back to work!

Just noticed your sig - I'm sure I've seen your name on something mountain biking before - did you ever appear in MBUK, or on a MTB website?

Was anyone else surprised that the bit-tech staff were actually good? Sorry guys, but tbh I expected you all to be a bit rubbish, but for the most part you all seemed to hold your own, and bigz was very impressive.

i havent seen any BiT staff yet, well i think

there was somone on there with BIT infront of their name, but they wouldnt say if they were BiT staff or not, and he wasnt that good :p

The number of times BiT bench on DOD/HL2 - maybe thats why their good at CSS :p

There were a few bit-tech staff members on. There were a whole load of people using the bit-prefix who had no reason to be using it, which made things a tad confusing. But Bigz0r, Rtt/captainspanner, garside, haz, and fly were all there IIRC and they're all staff. I might have missed someone but the games cos the games were pretty hectic.

The server launch brought the office to a standstill actually - at least 5 of the guys here were all playing last night at 6pm instead of working :) We also had some moderators etc who joined in I believe.

I'll leave the boys to share tales of their conquests but I know Ryan is ex-4K and Tim (bigz) used to play to a very high standard too (the 8 hours a day kinda thing). I'm personally waiting for anything-but-CS before I join in the festivities

Quite Possibly... ;)

Thought I'd get some free advertising in my signature ;)

Edit: Hmm, Lincoln - don't know Darren Hill do you?

I mainly play CS 1.6, but I guess this server will push me over to CS Source. Had loads of fun yesterday and I have to say that my CS (1.6) skills aren't what they used to be. It's incredibly hard to get back into that game, too - I actually find it frustrating. I guess that CS Source is a bit more friendly to me in that respect, so it shouldn't take me long to get back to what I used to be able to do. :)
