Twilight princess is top for me, the zelda series are my all time favourite games. Hopefully 2006 will bring some decent FPS to the PC, Far Cry 2 / UT2007 will hopefully be worth waiting for. A couple of good RTS games wouldn't go a miss either, Supreme Commander looks pretty decent from what i've seen.
UT2007, Hitman - blood contracts, Elder Scrolls IV
These are all pre-ordered
But i really want Farcry 2 and Stalker to come out soon. I just hope Stalker doesnt go into vapour the way of duke nukem. Here is hoping they turn it around like HL2.
Whats this planetary combat thing comming to Eve? Can't find any trace of it can someone post a link.. thanks.
They showed planetary flight (the original idea that sparked the further development) at fanfest 2004, there has been mention of it being developed in the background since and Lekjart spent half a page of his interview in EON #1 talking about it, there isn't really a link per se I can give you.
Last I heard it was on the "maybe, but unlikely" list for Kali and would probably slip to the expansion after that. Basically I'm hoping it makes 2006 instead of 2007 .. after all the time they've been working on it and the comments he made in the interview it has to be huge though ;)
I'm sorry, but seriously, saying UT2004 underperformed is a fair bit off the mark. UT2004 is a fantastic game, and is so far the pinicle of a fantastic series, to say it underperformed..well..it underperformed in the same way HL2 did..not at all.
Anyway, ES4 is one I'm looking forward to too, although I'm concerned by all the intrest. The developers made it clear they were going to pander to the masses, and disregard the wishes of the ES3 community, in favour of what they thought would go down well with people who weren't diehard players. Many in the ES3 community were hoping that ES4 would stay low key, so that the devs were able to fullfill more of our sorts of wishes, keeping it true to the nature of the series, and not ruining it because of complaints about certain aspects of ES3.
Time will tell I guess, whether they have pandered. If they have, I will be intolerably shouty for a few days :D
Hrm spec, surely you mean UT2K5 not UT2K4 ? They did say "last" .. I can maybe agree it was a touch harsh, but at the same time I cant say I've really been blown away since the original UT (Which was the only FPS I ever joined a clan for and fought in tournaments with)
On a related note, I've hated most of the remakes of the classic UT maps :'(

You are correct. :) And I agree that UT2K4 was the best. I spent months trying to find some place to buy it from. It was worth the wait though. :)
I was once thinking about UT2K3 vs. UT2K4. The graphics looked the same to me. A few gameplay changes were made. So what was the difference? In a nutshell: Assault and Onslaught. :D
elder scrolls 4 is a must, as is twillight princess. ofcourse the hl2 add on will be a good purchase. that spore game looks like it could be interesting. other than that i cant really think of any games that have grabbed my attention. possibly shadow of a collosus but i dont own a ps2 so i'll have to play my m8s copy.

Woops, eggs on me there :o
I can't help but be a little snide and point out that the original UT had assault .. it just went MIA for 2003 and came back in 2004 seemingly due to public demand.
I was wondering why everyone was talking about games released last year... Like We Love Katamari and Shadow of the Colossus...
Then I realized bit-tech.net is based in the UK... My bad...
Looking forward to Supreme Commander. If it's anything like Total Annihilation, i.e. have far more control over units than C & C games, it's gonna rock. Meanwhile, Star Wars: Empire at War will tide me over until the pending release. I can't wait for the end of February.

Indeed, the omission of Assault in 2003 was like a sucker punch. But oh well, UT2004's Assault mode is way cooler than the original UT's anyway!

The game I most want to play is Supreme Commander. Total Annhiliation was a brilliant game. Oblivion is another. And last I remember, PC gamer (in a recent article) actually got to play Duke Nukem Forever and they said it was quite good. I hope it will be out this year as I love Duke Nukem 3D (One of the better FPS of the 90's).
I want too many games. More importantly, I need a better PC first.
