Never been to an I series lan , its not a proper lan party for me :)

I prefer smaller events. Our clan just had a 4 day one this weekend with around 55 people. It was great we even had a £500 prize from our sponser intel. Which made the one on one tourney very stressful hehe.

Well My gaming name is Inferno and the second case you see is mine, Not completed yet but i just wanted to put accross that the i-series is an awsome event with some of the nicest people in the UK and europe,

You wont find one bad apple there all freindlly and that is what makes it original, this is my fourth i-series and im loving every single one the people are nice and the gaming you get is exellent.

Multiplay are also one of the UK's biggest server rental companies for gaming and yes the competitions may not be that big at the moment but they are working on it and the £1000 BF2 tourney was great fun by all that entered and gave that little competiting edge, Well i hope to see a few of you there at I26, please come find my seat and say hi.

Also to the person wanting travel, you can always ask for a lift from the community on the forum http://forums.multiplay.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=60

Well i hope my words have convised a few of you :D

I see they used the 2nd floor, what was the attendance this time.

I've been too an I-Series before and it was a very enjoyable avent its not worth the £75 price tag that comes with it, i am considering going too the next one as it is on a bank holiday so you get a day for free i believe which isn't so bad.

Did you all have a mini bit meet last time i went i met up with spike that was about it.

Well this event there was 732 peeps there might of been more as some people did pay on the day, but later on this week we will hopefully getting the food stats from baggies the supplyers of the food there, and also dominoes pizza's usually give us stats as well,

But for what you get from the event the price is resonable especially considering its the only one in the UK.

I went for the first time, it was a really good laugh...

^^talking of hax, there was one kn0b who was hacking on our c.s 1.6 public server at the lan, got a tip off as to where he was sitting but no joy.

We've (me and my clan) learned one lesson for next time, take other stuff to mess about with, computers get boring after a 12 hrs + a day for four days . Next time we're gonna do stuff in the day and play games in the night. A kettle and mini fridge would be handy, and some reall food... shitting bricks was a well used phrase for the weekend as we were doing just that (pizza all the way).

Wasnt too sure about going at first but really enjoyed it in the end and not fussed about the cost, even tho im a tight arse :D

If your thinking bout going to one in the future just go! ;)

Oh btw, im pretty sure I seen some nicely moded pc's, the one the the entrance was pretty nice! (Heavilly watercooled jobby)

Lies! All you do is ring up Shuttle and say you want to "test/review" one of your new models in its natural habitat! :D

Hmm, paintballing next time (i-27 for me) if we can find a local place ;)

2nd i series for me, i25 being the best so far for me, abuot 800 people in attendance, compared to i23 which had about 1100 which was a bit nice :)
The £75 is worth it to MPUK, but not necassarily to the punter... It has to cover 24/7 Security, Electricity and rental of the racecourse. Those being the biggest prices for MPUK.

Bit of a slack write up imo, compared to some others the bit-tech peoples have written...

The i-series rocks. Everyone shuold go :D

I was gonna go to i24, but in the end their was no major cash prizes or any real good prizes so my friends refused to go, although id love to go sometime just for a bit of fun :)
onarahosting 3rd September 2005, 06:37 Quote
Yeah i wanted more of a writeup in the article, didn't really give much of a feel of the event. How many of these things do they have each year?
