i'm using xtrac ripper XL since this winter and i'm very proud of it.
i use high sense and where i move the mouse it is starting do degrade (not so smooth as before) but that happened also with the everglide giganta. this cost half and when it will be unplayable i just need to turn it around and the other side is still new!

low sense will not have this problem i think because they are mouving the mouse around a lot more than me. so don't mind!

also steelpad qck is really great!

death to glass pads :)

That's not a mat, that's a sheet.

pfft i use a 50p pcworld mat with a freebie one on top :p
i dont know why i do, but i have done for years, the freebie one is really nice, cloth with thick rubber back. really smooth but small, not that i notice the size

I wouldn't mind having that Everglide mat as I've always preferred having a cloth mat to a hard surface. But you couldn't pay me to have the Fatal1ty mat on my desk...there's just something about personal branding that I dislike.

I've had a DKT Megamat for a while now (the predecessor of the Fatal1ty and Titan mats, and the size of the Titan MonsterMat, not the GamingMat that I believe was the one up for review) and I love it to bits. Never been happy with hard pads, they just make my RSI worse, a bit of softness is always nice ;) And it's soooooooo big. Mine's beginning to fray around the edges, but it hasn't affected its performance in any way.

I hope nobody is still using a ball mouse these days... I grabbed a spare mouse for my notebook recently, after I got fed up with my cordless being crap, and my old MS Mouse 2.0 lasted all of about 4 seconds before it went back in the box. My equally old MS Explorer 2 may be well worn (and not even close to being as comfortable as the MS Explorer 4) but at least it's optical!

Quick straw poll, while we're talking games & mice - are any of y'all interested in us reviewing the new Razer & Logitech laser mice with custom weights etc?
Xen0phobiak 17th August 2005, 18:02 Quote
yeah please.

Personaly, I disslike hard pads for my mice - they hurt my hand after just a short while gaming.

Cloth pads just suck, too much friction.

When I bought my desk I decided I needed to invest in a mousing surface (as my new desk has a clear-glass top, and optical mice don't like clear-glass :p), so I got a nice metal-backed, plastic sheet on soft ruber cusion mat. Nicest mouse mat I've ever used, and from a cheap company as well. Not even a hit of wear after 7+ months of excessive use ;)

Yay Allsop!

I use a graphics tablet for work, so that AND a mouse mat would take up to much space... so I use the graphics tablet as a mat... works well, if a little small.

i hope microsoft will come soon with a new *working* intellimouse explorer. (4.0 is nice but the wheel is ******** in gaming and the lateral buttons too)

anyway a review of new things would be nice. but it's always a personal thing. i can't touch logitech mouses.

ime 3.0 since it came out (4 years)

My family actually uses one huge Logitech ball mouse. It is almost five years old and besides being worn out (everyday usage for 5years) it is working great. Very precise even for graphic design and gaming. I myself have a standard mx510 sliding on RATPADZ DS, however I find the plastic starting to wear out after 5months of usage, also hard surface pads make your mouse feet wear out faster so I had to get these stickers. However just thinking about going back on the table or my history book for mouse sliding makes me want to get mighty mouse instead.

the man from delmonty he say, YAY!
id love a review of the mouse if you could

I just set the thumb buttons to weapeon foward and weapon back (or whatever you normally have the mouse wheel set to) it works ok, but an accedental roll of the mouse wheel :(

yeah id like to see a review of the logitec laser mice too.

my friend has it and seems that it only work when turning the wheel with the medium finger. if you use the left button finger (don't know english names) it doesn't work out good. it seems that the wheel angles a bit and can't get if you are turning it. 3.0 is THE mouse (wish microsoft product it again).

Let me see what I'm using..... Micro mart issue 827...thats december 2004.

Oh, and if you need to stop your hand from jittering when gaming - Diazepam! Have you never played metal gear solid? noobs.
Da Dego 17th August 2005, 22:19 Quote
Hehehehe...diazepam rocks...and seriously, I play my games on a $0.99 mouse pad from big lots. Funny enough, it seems to work just fine.

definitely, I put off buying into the mx51[0/8] or the diamondback and now the G5 and copperhead have just been announced I'm thinking I may skip the generation and go for them. but main problem with the G5 is the fact it only has one thumb button?! I'm on a mx700 and have both thumb buttons bound to specific things so only 1 thumb button will suck major

That would be a resounding yes please from me. And everglide mouse mat, is it named mat so when it wears out, you can use it as a door mat. It looks almost big enough for it :)
