Start singing the famous theme tune now
It’s still a week or so before Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is released. But
if the Sunday BBC movie reruns aren’t enough to satiate your anticipation, how
about a few cracks of the whip, Lego style? A playable demo of the
much-anticipated Lego reworking of the original adventures has just arrived,
and you can download it here.
Indiana Jones: The
Original Adventures covers the first three movies (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), but
with the infectious Lego spin which has proven so popular in the Lego Star Wars game series. But the new
Indiana Jones version improves the engine, for more interaction with the
environment and the ability to use found objects (like chairs) as weapons.
The full game is due at the beginning of June, and will
feature more than 60 playable characters plus the ability to mix up body parts
to create your own, in the same fashion as Lego Star Wars 2. The killer
cooperative gameplay feature is also present. So start downloading your
own 464MB demo now, because at least when Indie’s made of Lego, he’ll still look
the same 20 more years from now – which is more than can be said for Harrison
Ford.
