You don’t need to shop around for the best deal, as we’ve done the hard work for you
By now, you should have spotted that Nvidia has released a new GPU called the GeForce 9800 GTX. However, in case you haven’t, you can read our full review of the GeForce 9800 GTX cards from BFG, MSI, PNY and Zotac here.
The GPU itself may be a bit of an anti-climax, being little more than an overclocked 512MB GeForce 8800 GTS with a curvy cooler. You can read our analysis of the GeForce 9800 GTX here. However, if you don’t have a 512MB GeForce 8800 GTS, and you’re looking for a graphics upgrade, then the new 9800 GTX could be worth a look. That said, we know that prices can vary massively between different retailers, which is why we’ve had a good look through various retailers’ sites to see how their prices compare on the cards we reviewed.
You can see our findings in the table below, with Aria currently offering the best deal on the BFG 9800 GTX. Bear in mind that we only checked up on the cards that we had in for review. As such, some sites aren’t listed because the GeForce 9800 GTX cards they sell may not be among the brands we reviewed. We can’t currently find anyone selling the PNY card, but we’ll update the table as soon as we have more information.
