Dremel 300 Tool Only

If your trusty Dremel’s motor has given out after being put through too many case mods, then you might quite rightly balk at the thoug of forking out £59.95 for a new one that comes with a boatload of accessories that you already own. Thankfully, Dremel has also spotted this dilemma, and has accordingly just announced the Dremel 300 Tool Only; a basic multi-tool without any accessories for under £30.

In case you're unfamiliar with the Dremel 300, it features a 125W motor, and it also has a variable speed control that goes from 10,000 to 33,000rpm, giving you plenty of leeway whether you’re cutting plastic or various types of metal. This marks a move up from some previous budget Dremel multi-tools, which only featured two choices of speed. As well as this, the tool also comes with a soft grip to absorb vibrations.

Dremel says that the 300 Tool Only is compatible with all Dremel accessories, and that it’s ideal for ‘professionals and craftsmen wanting to replace their current multi-tool and who already own all of the Dremel accessories.’ As well as this, it’s also ideal for anyone who only wants to use a couple of accessories, such as cut-off wheels and routers, and have no need for a box full of polishing bits.

The Dremel 300 Tool Only will be released in June this year at an RRP £29.99. However, you could expect it to cost even less than this if you shop around, given that Amazon is currently selling the Dremel 300 with 25 accessories for £31.99.
