Want to work for Custom PC? We're looking to hire a Labs/Features editor

PG Tips

Want to spend your days being paid to test, tinker with and write about the latest and greatest PC hardware and games? Then you want to come and work for Custom PC, the UK's finest computer magazine and website.

We're looking to hire a new Labs & Features Editor. In this job you'll contribute to two of Custom PC's core sections, its Labs tests and Features. The role encompasses writing, commissioning and editing a range of articles across both print and web. The ability to work well under pressure and hit deadlines is key, as are exceptional organisational and planning skills. Custom PC is a stylish and entertaining read so this is a role that requires writing and editing with flair, and approaching work with initiative and creativity.

You should have proven experience as a section editor or senior staff writer on an IT or technology title (online or print), as well as a love for PC hardware, modding, gaming and technology and excellent technical knowledge. Multimedia experience (e.g. podcasting, photography, video) would be an advantage.

The role is full-time and based at the offices of Dennis Publishing, in the heart of London’s West End. It offers an excellent remuneration and benefits package, along with plenty of scope for career development. For the right candidate, Dennis will support a work visa application. For more information about working at Dennis, see the website, or the company poem.

To apply, email your CV, a 500-word review of your own PC in the Custom PC style and a covering letter explaining why you're the best person for the job to Alex Watson, Editor: alex [at] custompc.co.uk
