Mountain Mods sent Custom PC two of their latest cases for review - we take an early look at the Pinnacle 24 and the H2GO
If you've heard of U.S based case manufacturer Mountain Mods then you'll probably already know that they make some of the most customisable and modding-friendly cases out there, many of which have been featured in Readers Drives over the years.
Until now Mountain Mods have focussed on Cube cases of various sizes from their monstrous U2-UFO cubes to the smaller H2GO for the "enthusiast on the go" all available in a range of powder coated colours with brushed aluminium or clear acrylic panels. Their gargantuan interiors make them ideal cases for water-cooling with the larger cases able to house several triple 120mm radiators, swallowing several water-cooling loops with ease.
As well as the H2GO cube, Mountain Mods have sent us their brand new Pinnacle 24 tower case for review. With dimensions of of 228mm x 610mm x 610mm (W x D x H), it's size is just as impressive as their large cube cases. It's much larger than the SilverStone TJ-07, infact it's larger overall than the colossal NZXT Kaos that we reviewed during our case labs test (see Issue 63, p78). From what we've seen so far, the finnishing is top notch and the black powder coated exterior looks good enough to eat!
We'll be puting each case through it's paces in the next few weeks as well as test-fitting numerous radiators including XSPC's new RX series in the Pinnacle 24 so watch this space!
