Meh I have my screens @ 1024, and they are 17" and 20" for the one reson that I need glasses but never use them. The 20" is @ 1024 so as to be the same size, and I only use it for music visuals, Movies and the like. The screens Farked coz the guns are out of alignment and it cant be fixed so if your trying to read text it has 3 shadows. blody annoying.

I hate the single click windows explorer.
Tools -> Folder Options -> [ View ] -> Display simple folder view in Explorer's Folders list
It has to be changed right away.

Other than that... I TOTALLY agree ... people who double-click hyperlinks ... grrrr

At work I use IE ... I am in the Air Force and I don't have enough rights to double click the clock to see the calendar. Access Denied. On the machines running XP I can still change the theme to Rainy Day and set the background to black though.

So there are excuses.

i have to admit i have broken rule #3, simply because i can't be arsed and i don't use windows enough to warrant giving it that much of my time.

If your truly hardcore you turn off all unesasery services including explorer even though you have 1gb of ram... not that I run my pc like that

In my new school blocked forums including Bit-tech?!

running knoppix in school's library pc... or at least bring firefox 1.5 and openoffice on USB thumbdrive, even though the pc's have firefox older version and M$ Office is tech cool.

Excuse me for the bashing to come, but I really feel like bit-tech is on a slope regarding quality of content when I read through this. I understand that one can't expect everything to be top notch, even from the best modding site around, but:

I fail to see the relevancy of columns like this one, as i'm sure anybody that's ever even heard about bit-tech, have the computer skill, mouse mat and bg image anything like you describe here.
People who have and use computers like that, noobs/moms/etc, browse elsewhere, hence they don't read your column so what is the point of posting it? Bit-tech is for and by computer enthusiasts, and your content should reflect this. Try sending it to MSN while you're in there downloading their toolbar, atleast you would then have enlightned the audience.

Why don't you bring some REAL insight, deep thought and reflections about something new, something unheard of, something INTRESTING that matters to the bit-tech community in the columns instead of posting this sort of rubbish?

I'm not writing this to get flamed at all, merely because I've enjoyed the articles, the amazing projects and whatnot here at bit from the start and I'd hate to see it turn into somehing just like the pack.
