HDD corruption ?!?. I really don't think it's the cause. Bad download, or bad SATA controler, or your HDD is damaged or simply, and most probable, bad install.

And 7600 should be on MSDN, I doubt it'll ever come to MSDNAA. After all it's for students to get cheap MS software, testing [betas and stuff] is TechNet and MSDN.

I'm with Goodbytes - I've not had any HDD corruption with Windows 7. There was the MP3 issue with the first public beta - which Microsoft fixed very quickly. But that's not so much HDD corruption as WMP tagging stuff wrong.

I'm still using 7100 and the only problem I have is minimizing or closing games. Sometimes I get the odd black screen and I have to close the game with the task manager
quite annoying but I am still extremely impressed by this RC version

What game? I don't have this on my side.

any game. From warcraft to ut2k4, ut3 (I believe..I only played it once), GTR Evolution and especially Monkey Island Special Edition

It doesn't happen every time though so I don't really mind it

I don't have any of these games... but the following is what I tried:
- The Witcher
- Crysis
- All games in Orange Box
- FarCry2
- GTA4

Do you have the latest Nvidia drivers? How about system drivers? Do you use Aero or Aero Basic or Classic?

I haven't updated my drivers ever since I installed this rev of 7 (7100) the day it came out so maybe that's why ...

i'm just...

Ok, so then don't complain about your problems, if yuo are not willing to put any effort in anything. :)
Go do some exercise. Get you Zune/iPod out, bring your laptop, and go walk at a coffee shop wile listening to music, take something there enjoy it, and do a long walk by discovering the neighborhood while coming back home. Or go outside and jog, and go at the gym. Doing physical activity increase memory and concentration and render your body to generate more energy which result in you being no more lazy. It's, of course, no miracle 1 day thing, but you do/should see results the first time (in concentration).

Come on it's a nice day today... it's has a few clouds, ok FINE it's freaking gray... but it's not like it's going to rain anytime soon. :D

I dunno - I've not updated drivers since I installed this build of Win 7 either... given the other problems you've experienced, Ghys... d'you think the ISO could be bad? Did you MD5/SHA1 check it before burning?
knuck 9th August 2009, 20:02 Quote
nah if the iso was bad the whole thing would keep crashing and it's running great overall

I can definitely recommend the 190.38 WHQL drivers from nVidia. ;)

Find them here:
