I would hope the 'other interests' esp. board games and cake based article, can continue to be seen. Its wonderful to pop over to bit-tech and have my interest plucked by a non computer but geeky-super article that is just as well written as the rest of BT.
Please keep the HW reviews as indepth and well written. As many here will comment, Toms may be your biggest competitor, but I always come back to BT for the 'real review' of any hardware I read elsewhere. Too often Toms put out bad an article with poor english, grammer and explanation. They may be big, they might get every piece of tech to review, but Bit Tech will always be where I read the honest review.
The modding section is so popular, because I actually can't think of another place to go for it on the entire internet (and also because Anthony Leather and co. are fantastic at it)
indeed. :)
Main thing now - gaming reviews! the data is there, most people are not console gamers who visit the site, therefore (and yes i've been beating this drum in the suggestion thread a while back as well) try to figure out ways to improve game reviews for PC users.
the simple stuff for example:
- menu system (especially if it's a console port). Has anyone tried to play Fifa 11 on PC without an xbox controller? I had to use google to figure out what buttons do what.
- drm
- etc
I could be wrong, but I think you might be misinterpreting the results for interaction with adverts. I opted to say that I interacted with the adverts the same amount that I do on other sites - which I think you'll read as "I click them here just as much as I do everywhere else" whereas, in fact, I never, ever, ever click them (here OR anywhere else).
The lack of an "I don't click your adverts at all" option meant that the only real option was to say that my ad-clicking activity was equal to other sites.....
Then again...I might be the only one who is ad-averse and maybe everyone is clicking away quite happily *shrugs*
err.. Homepage?! who in the world uses that anymore? I can't remember when I last opened my browser and 5+ tabs wasn't already open. I know there is a homepage button, but if dust was I my computer, it would all have been on that particular button!
Woot! Nice to know I'm one of the minority who buys as many consoles games as PC games.
It's nice to see most of the answers actually aren't surprising, I think we could have guessed how most of them would have played out. The one that stood out for me was Buying Advice. It's a point that's been raised many times, but the Buyers Guide really is an invaluable piece of advice.

Fine, you go grab your red shirt and beam down with the team.
Still want to follow Kirk?
Picard was more suave, he didn't have to get in a fist fight, rescue/seduce an alien or scream his head off in every episode, Kirk is a soccer hooligan compared to Picard.

ReplyAlthough I prefer the reviews here, and the forum community :D
+ The occasional cake based article

Great job on the feedback/results. Thanks.

The more specific the better. :)
Interesting views on the article spread, obviously the wider audience don't enjoy the slightly off-topic stuff like I do.
Picard was always going to win, tho Janeway and Archer are my faves.
Edit: feathers asked for 'freak ads' - no question

Congrats mate ;)

And by very rarely I meant never.
Who needs homepages and bookmarks when forums.bit-tech.net/usercp.php is so easy to remember?
