This review is the single most important reason to buy Custom PC around Christmas - you get this vital information a few weeks before it appears on the website! I shall be off to M&S this week, and I might just get a drop of port while I'm there...
OK... I have to ask... "fruity mincemeat" - does it mean it has a mince - meat in it? I thought mince pie is a pie with meat in it... some time ago I heard Christmas mince pies are with fruity-jamy feeling...
So what is up with those mince pies? What are they? Never tried one before.. Now. looks like I need to go to M&S and buy some...
@ Phinix, 150yrs ago or so Mince pies used to be mostly meat, with expensive things like spices and dried fruit added as a festive indulgence, as the prices of the fruity spicy boozy bits came down that became the prime ingredient. Proper mince pie filling still contains suet which gives away it's origin as a meaty pie
I'd like a review of the iceland mince pies, imho (in my humble opinion) they're quite nice, although the pastries a bit dry... But at £2 for 18 i'm not complaining :P
Edit: Just had another one... make that VERY dry pastry. Still not complaining though
Mince pies on their own are a bit boring. But put 2 in a bowl, microwave for 30-45secs, and splash double cream and a bit of brandy butter on it = heaven.

And they're probably called mince pies because they used to have meat in them.

A few weeks back they got voted number 1 by some mag the missus reads. Without heat, they are nasty, with heat, scrummy!

Sorry.
Nothing beats selfmade!
I'm guessing the best they can manage in the office is to stick them on a GTX480 for a while :P
