Yeh I really love that Mionix Alioth Gaming mousemat. Thanks for the recommend on that one (in the mag).
Also +1 to the Sunbeam modding kit... I've had one of these for years now - very trusty!
My GF wanted a photo printer but was put off by the cost. theres a nice wee photo shop that does printing in bulk so large amount of photos at insanely cheep prices =) Gonna have to show her the 2.8p a photo. Writing pad thing would also be cool for her. Yay!!! Ive got next christmas sorted ;)

Depends on what res you are running... mine is running everything fine at 1680x1050. Handled Modern Warfare 2 with all settings maxed out apart from the one setting that has to be left on auto or the game crashes on the final stage and I'm currently playing DiRT 2 and having no issues with that either. Although I am looking to upgrade in the near-ish future, I will definately be waiting until nVidia release their new cards just so I know I get whats right for me and my £150 budget.
Interesting you mention purchasing Left 4 Dead 2 from Amazon, or any cheap online shop, as it makes the most sense. It's much cheaper, and you'll end up with exactly the same end result - L4D available to play (and re-download) via Steam.
If it's the same as I've found with Left 4 Dead (big if, as I've not tried it yet) you should be able to stick the DVD in and run the installer, which will fire up Steam where you pop your CD Key in. Once done, you probably won't ever need the DVD again, you can reinstall the game by downloading via Steam.
I've got a retail copy of L4D2 installed and associated with my Steam account, I presume it's the same as te first game.
Got a slanket from eBay for less than a tenner! Also happen to have a Selphy CP720 which was bought a couple of years or so ago which offers great quality printing on 6x4, postcards and stickers, etc.
Heh, my mrs mad the mistake of buying me that very technic lego kit earlier this year.
It rekindled my love of lego and I've bought another 6 technic kits since then.
I also bought the collectors edition millenium falcon! :D
