It's always good to hear that the echelon of Britain's electronics journalists are hard at work, noses at the grindstones bringing us the latest and most up to date information and news from the world of all things hardware and software.

And not fart arsing around, going blind, beating the **** out of each other and making obscene references to each other's mums.

The USB fans have useful modding parts. I'd love to find some of that tiny flex shaft in bulk quantities. -or maybe find a bunch of these in a dollar bin someday.

I think someone really needs to make an insane mod using orange led fans at this point. Something to change the way the Bit-tech staff thinks about the color. =)

Could you use the padded thingy the Destructor comes in as a case for a Netbook?

How on earth could a thumb drive transfer 140MB back to the system in under a second? The theoretical max of USB2 is 60MB/s with the practical max usually half that.

I guess it was probably cached by the OS on the normal HDD so it didn't need to be moved, just had it's location changed? Still, who needs 32gb‽ :P 640k is enough for anyone!

If you're carrying personal or identifying data on the other hand, then yes it probably is worth encrypting your drive, though you have to question the wisdom of carrying identifying data on your keyring and not uploading it to a secure FTP in order to retrieve it at your destination.

hah, the UK headlines suddenly comes to mind.

Ah Crazy machines, love that game, still not as good as The Incredible Machine 2 (TIM2) but as soon as this came up on steam the credit card was whipped out.

Good OCZ flash memory you lot have there. We order them (a smaller capacity variation) by the thousand at work. Data retention is right up there with the Kingstons. Great stuff.

I remember of a game called "The incredible machine" wich was similar to those kinds of games.
It resembles those traps Tom used to catch Jerry in the old times cartoon Tom and Jerry

Nope. It's far, far to thin.

Put some razors on the usb fan with the pretty annoying lights, put a bright red led on it, and throw it in the air. Maybe it will hunt you down with a dozen others. And when they come to close you can smash them with a crowbar...

is it me or does someone else think the more naff an item is the more cool it gets? Those bendy fans serve no purpose at all, yet somehow... i want one. No, I want LOTS! :P

and Bad Joe! No! No more games! you and your evil kin in Bit-Land have caused me to waste far too many hours playing Trackmania & Audiosurf after your recomendations. I cant keep riding the excuse of "i'm waiting for a query to finish" much longer.

That and i've just got to level 33 on Portal- Flash Version... :P
