Give me a break. I'm 53 years old and not some kid looking to get his kicks as a peeping tom. I did think when I downloaded this program that I could look at my own home and tell whether someone was on my property when I wasn't home, or that I could zoom in to the parking lot where I work and tell how many cars were in the lot. I really had imagined being able to see first hand a fire or other emergency that was being shown on the news.
However the pics are very old and what I looked at when the program came out are the same shots if I go back today, so it never updates at all.
The integration of current traffic bulletins with online mapping sounds useful enough, if it spreads to the UK.
It's not meant to go on about anything revolutionary as such, just interesting or useful applications that people might not of heard of or used before. It was more aimed at the more naive reader who hasn't really explored what the web has to offer, and so for a lot of you it's a lot of what you've seen before, but for others there could be something new to try out.
What idiot decided to write that piece of crap?
What the hell is the point in putting an article designed for the naive reader on an expert website?
Whoever wrote that should never be allowed near a computer again!
hmm, certainly interesting, despite the many 'experts' declaring it to be too naive, not everyone who comes here is an 'expert', some just come to look at the pretty pictures.
it was certainly interesting to see how MS are doing with their webstuff, i dont visit the windows live sites (its the evil empire! ;) ) and 37 signals whiteboard application certainly does look interesting. at the moment i'm looking for something that will do exactly what it does, i'll have to go poke it and see if it is what i want.
I'm a professor of computer science at Oxford and I can wholeheartedly say this is one of the most informative pieces of writing I've ever read and will be using it as a case study in some of my tutorials.

You can use your new 3-day break to think of some constructive criticism
Could Microsoft be buying eBay?
It would certanly give Live Expo a flyiing start.
After Google aquired YouTube, the undisputed no.1 software company of teh world must be expected to have an ingenious plan to cling on to it's threatned throne.
The same basic strategy is at play in the 'core' hardware industry aswell, with AMD/ATI reaching into Intel's domains.
For now they will remain with the means and a motive.
