Luckily, we get DVB feeds of the thing in Finland.

Meh, Desperate Housewives is over for me as of last night (E4). Still, being a football fan I've still got something to cheer about. Oh, and stop poaching CPC staff ;)

Man, I can't wait until this is over, we're just building up to a massive loss, and hopefully it'll be soon.

I like the electronics. just such a shame that you had to drag it down by making it about football :(

There is also some football extention which is created by Google and Nike (apparently) which you can find here.

Same here, can't understand why people love football, I'm partial to a kick about down the park but watching a sport is one of the most boring things I can think of.

I'd just like to pimp this which was forwarded on IRC to me as an awesomely pointless use of a protocol :)

ASCII Feed

couldnt be simpler, open up cmd.exe type telnet 213.129.247.65 2006 or telnet 213.129.247.119 2006

As you'd expect, the res isnt great :) but it IS watchable and you can generally make out whats going on.

Am I right when I say that you obviously never played any 'competitive' sport yourself? I don't play Football (I did play Tennis and Waterpolo competitivly at high level for many years though), but I enjoy watching it.. The whole atmosphere arround the World Cup is fantasitic.. Best thing is at the start of a match when they play the anthems and the fans sing it, I love that part..

Besides that, it's just entertainment, and who doesn't like entertainment? Some people go to a movie or concert, others go to a Football match, it's all the same imho.. Most funny thing I heard was people on a beach commenting that watching the World Cup was a waist of time.. Yeah, and lying on a beach doing nothing isn't, right? LOL!

Just some feedback Stateside. I just joined the HD crowd by getting a 32" Phillips 480P screen with HD tuner. Unfortunately, my cable provider only offers a digital signal, not HD, not even for more money. I got a Terk HD aerial antenna and the only channel that really came in from inside the house was ABC who just happened to be broadcasting the England v Trinidad game live and it looked incredible. The only problem was that was the ONLY channel I could pick up so after the game, I just went back to my digital cable box. Oh well, maybe next tourney
