I think to show that the fan won't die of cerosion due to the elements.
But then again, shouldn't it be an industrial fan, rather then plastic PC fan?

anybody got any more information on that magic foil?

I've googled it, but came up with nothing.... also doesn't seem like the related color keymat industrie logo has anything to do with the product. :(
